About Me.
With a proven track record of transforming big ideas into actions with impact, I am seeking the Liberal nomination for Halifax to address Canada's urgent challenges with bold, experienced leadership.
For 15 years I have worked for Halifax, leading efforts to build a more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive city. As Director of Environment & Climate Change, I championed the creation and implementation of HalifACT, our city’s award-winning climate action plan. I promote Halifax across Canada and on the global stage.
But my work is about more than climate, it’s about people. It’s about jobs, safety, economic development, equity, and more. I have strong relationships in all sectors, locally and across Canada. I believe in breaking down barriers and ensuring all voices are heard as we navigate everything from affordability and climate change to the threats to our economy and sovereignty.
My husband and I moved to Halifax in 2002 to attend Dalhousie University and fell in love with this amazing community. Yet as we raise our three kids, we understand some of the hard challenges we are facing, like the cost of living and the supply of affordable housing.
I have spent 15 years listening to Halifax residents. I promise to keep listening so that I can best represent you in Ottawa. I hope to earn your support as we work together to build a more resilient community and a strong, connected Canada.
